Ok, so, finally got an airbrush, been trying to get used to it, I think I've started to get the hang of the mix of thinner to paint and the pressure, so far, so good, unless you count all the mess and that most of my desk is stained slightly red now as bad, in which case, so far, mostly good.
I decided to go for a cheap airbrush and compressor set after speaking with a few guys, not worth messing up an expensive brush while I learn the ropes and it meant I could get started right away, already I'm impressed with what you can do with this.
Tried the whole "Zenithel lighting" thing here, its basically a very dark brown red, made with Mephiston Red and Doombull brown, with a little black,( I've switched to P3 for whites and blacks, Abbadon black just isn't very good, and while Ceramite White is excellent for base coats, its not a true white like P3s Morrow White) underneath, up to a bright Blood Red with a touch of the old Blazing Orange (its now replaced with Troll Slayer, which is even brighter, its great, but that was in a box not to hand, so Blazing it was)
It's a whole new set of skills to learn and I've got a lot to work on, it's a pain though. Lots of cleaning and mixing and stuff.
